How to combined ascending and descending displacement values

Added by deepAI M over 4 years ago

Dear Charles,

I am planing to combine both ascending and descending displacement results.
I interpolate geocode the solution of one geometry to the geometry of the other solution
(in the map geometry).

How to do interpolate the one geometry? it would be great if you can provide useful tips.

Best regards
Pradeep

Hello,
You have to use the same DEM for geocoding both the ascending and descending
tracks, Then the data are automatically coregistered.

Charles

Thank you Charles.

It means, I have to use Height Generation using DEM and use it for all ascending and descending slave images for coregistration. am I right?

Thank you

Hello,

You need to use the exact same DEM segment for geocoding, of all scenes., both
ascending and descending, or from other sensors.
Then the deformation measured with all scenes are forced to be coregistered!

Usually, you geocode the reference scene, allowing for gc_map2 to select the
region and resample the DEM segment. Then use that DEM segment from geocoding
the first scene as the input DEM for gecoding all the other scenes. Be sure to
specify - for the DEM segment parameters for these additional scenes.

The program geocode is used to resample the DEM from map geometry to slant-range
geometry as used phase_sim_orb.
best regards,
Charles
